It recently occurred
to me to diversify the Express just a
bit by including a video pick of the week, with this week seemingly a most
auspicious time to do it so, here is my first
video pick of the week.
I have always been a music lover, always listening for that
new voice, or sound that gets my attention, and hopefully stirs my soul. There is a new kid on the block, musically
speaking, and from what I’m hearing, he’s gonna be around for a good long
while.
With the advent of itunes I seldom purchase an entire CD
unless of course I enjoy most of the selections on it, well I recently
purchased the Greg Holden CD “I don’t
believe you” because every song on it is a winner. Some of you may have already heard Greg
Holden, as he’s been around for a couple of years now, his first CD was in 2010
and entitled “A word in edgeways” but
he was largely un-noticed until his work was included on the soundtracks for
“Chasing Mavericks” and “Sons of
Anarchy.”
So I wanted to share this
with you, because it reached me right where I live, and does so every time I
hear it.
Released as a single, and on
the CD “I don’t believe you”
Here is Greg Holden
performing his hit, “The Lost Boy”
Until next time, Be good to each other!

I like it! A good tune with meaningful lyrics and the soulful picture of the boy on a raft go very nicely together. My heart and soul appreciated that this morning. Looking forward to more. Your work always inspires and educates me, thank you
ReplyDeleteHey Pisces~Glad you vibe to it. There is a very moving 'story behind the song' on the YouTube page I embedded the vid from...its where the idea for the photo of the boy originated. Truly a song of universal meaning.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the feedback I get from these posts...am really grateful too for all the support I got from Zen to go ahead with a blog in the first place, and the exposure from his site has helped tremendously. It's all about sharing the things that stand out to our souls. Have a great 12-12-12, and Peaceful Blessings.
